Your words were never meant to be small.
Not tossed like pebbles into passing conversations,
but loosed like arrows,
or blessings,
or wildflowers blooming in the cracks of a war-torn world.
You were born of glory.
Handcrafted by the God who speaks and stars come out dancing.
He opened His mouth and light tore across the deep.
Mountains tremble when He so much as clears His throat.
And then He made you.
Yes, you.
To carry that same fire behind your teeth.
No wonder the weight of your words
can shift the atmosphere.
No wonder the enemy works so hard
to make you forget what your voice can do.
This isn’t some self-help fluff.
This is war.
This is Eden and exile and the Spirit groaning
to break through the fog of small living.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).
We’ve all felt it.
A single sentence can brand a heart with shame
or breathe hope into dead places.
Jesus didn’t just give nice sermons.
He shattered lies with His voice.
He spoke to storms.
He called corpses out of tombs.
He said,
“The words I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life” (John 6:63).
And now, don’t miss this, He lives in you.
So no, this is not about watching your language
like some churchy code of conduct.
It’s about awakening.
About remembering who you are
and speaking from that place.
Because your words—they are not just sounds.
They’re brushstrokes.
They paint the world around you
with heaven or with hell.
You are not a bystander.
You are an image-bearer,
a royal priest,
a son or daughter of the Living God.
So don’t you dare curse what He has blessed.
Not your spouse.
Not your kids.
Not your own soul.
That is sacred ground.
What if…
What if you let Christ speak through you?
Not just when you feel holy,
but right in the middle of the mess.
To call the broken back to life.
To break off shame.
To speak peace into chaos.
To remind the forgotten who they are.
You were meant to shape the world
with the breath of God inside you.
So rise up.
Speak like someone who’s seen the King.
Because you have.
And when you speak with Him in you—
creation listens.
