Introduction
I believe that Jesus Christ is the foundation of life, truth, and salvation. My faith is not just a set of doctrines but a living relationship with God, rooted in His Word and empowered by His Spirit. This statement of faith reflects my commitment to the gospel, the authority of Scripture, and the call to live in the fullness of God’s grace. I believe in the transforming power of Jesus Christ and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, who leads us into truth, equips us for ministry, and confirms the reality of God’s kingdom through His miraculous power.
The Bible
I believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It is the foundation for faith and practice, revealing God's character, His redemptive plan, and His eternal truth. Scripture is without error in its original manuscripts and is fully trustworthy for doctrine, correction, and training in righteousness.
God
I believe in one eternal God, who exists in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). He is the Creator of all things, sovereign over history, and actively involved in His creation. His nature is holy, just, merciful, and full of steadfast love (Exodus 34:6-7).
Jesus Christ
I believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin (Luke 1:34-35), lived a sinless life, and willingly gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21). He was crucified, buried, and physically rose from the dead on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return in power and glory to establish His kingdom (Acts 1:9-11).
Salvation
I believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). No one can earn salvation through works or religious rituals—it is the free gift of God. Jesus' sacrifice on the cross fully atoned for sin, and those who repent and believe in Him receive eternal life (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10). True salvation transforms a believer’s life, leading to holiness and obedience to God (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Believer's Baptism
I believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. Baptism by immersion is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and a step of obedience to His command (Matthew 28:19). It symbolizes the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). Baptism does not save, but it is a vital act of obedience that reflects a life surrendered to Christ (Acts 2:38).
The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Gifts
I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, who indwells, empowers, and sanctifies every believer (John 14:16-17). He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leads believers into truth (John 16:13), and equips them for ministry through spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
I believe that God’s miraculous power is still at work today, manifesting through healing, prophecy, and other spiritual gifts as an expression of His love, grace, and mercy (Mark 16:17-18, John 14:12, Acts 2:17-18, Hebrews 13:8). The gifts of the Spirit are given to edify the Church and confirm the gospel, not for personal gain or spectacle, but as a testimony to the living Christ working in and through His people (1 Corinthians 12:7-11, 1 Corinthians 14:1-3).
Apologetics and the Defense of the Faith
I believe in the biblical call to defend the faith with truth, wisdom, and love (1 Peter 3:15, Jude 1:3). Apologetics is not about winning arguments but leading people to Jesus through reason, evidence, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
I affirm that the Christian faith is intellectually sound and historically verifiable. The Bible is trustworthy in its transmission and manuscript integrity, and Jesus' life, death, and resurrection are well-supported by historical and eyewitness evidence (Luke 1:1-4, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8).
I believe apologetics must address both the heart and the mind, engaging with skeptics, seekers, and believers alike in a way that reflects Christ’s character. This includes defending the reliability of Scripture, answering challenges from atheism and other worldviews, exposing false teachings, and equipping believers to stand firm in their faith (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Colossians 2:8).
Apologetics should never replace personal intimacy with God but should flow from a life surrendered to Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, and committed to sharing the gospel with boldness and love.
The Church
I believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who are born again by the Spirit of God (Ephesians 1:22-23). The Church exists to glorify God, preach the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate the love of Christ through unity and service (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:42-47). Each believer has a role in the body, called to encourage, build up, and walk in love (Ephesians 4:11-16).
The Return of Christ and Eternal Destiny
I believe Jesus Christ will return to judge the living and the dead (2 Timothy 4:1). There will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked: those in Christ will enter eternal life, and those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God (Daniel 12:2, Revelation 20:11-15). The new heavens and new earth will be the eternal home of the redeemed, where God will dwell with His people forever (Revelation 21:1-4).
The Great Commission
I believe every believer is called to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). Evangelism and discipleship are the natural outflow of a life transformed by Christ. The gospel is the power of God for salvation, and we are entrusted to proclaim it with boldness, love, and truth (Romans 1:16, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20).
Conclusion
This statement of faith is not just a declaration of beliefs but a commitment to live by them. My life belongs to Christ, and I seek to walk in His truth, love, and power. I desire to see lives transformed by the gospel, the Church strengthened, and the name of Jesus lifted high. In all things, I aim to abide in Him, trust in His Word, and be led by His Spirit, until the day He returns in glory.
