Starting soon! 2025 Bible Study: From Rebellion to Redemption: Tracing God's Cosmic Plan through Scripture
Summary of the 52-Week Bible Study Plan
This year-long Bible study explores the biblical themes of the Nephilim, the divine council, and the redemption of humanity’s birthright. It is divided into four quarters, guiding participants through the overarching narrative of Scripture and God’s ultimate plan to restore His creation through Christ.
Quarter 1: Foundations of Rebellion and Redemption
The study begins with the creation of humanity as God’s image-bearers and the loss of humanity’s birthright through sin. It examines the origins of rebellion—both human and angelic—through key stories such as Cain, the Nephilim, and the Tower of Babel. It also introduces the division of nations and the role of God’s divine council. This quarter emphasizes the need for redemption after humanity’s fall into sin and spiritual corruption.
Quarter 2: Corruption and Redemption Through Israel
This section follows the story of Israel as God’s chosen people to reclaim His purposes. It highlights the presence of the Nephilim in Canaan and the conquest of corrupted bloodlines. Stories of Israel’s victories and failures, including key events like David’s defeat of Goliath, demonstrate God’s power over rebellion. Prophecies point to the coming Messiah who will ultimately defeat all rebellion and restore God’s kingdom.
Quarter 3: The Coming Messiah and His Victory
This quarter shifts focus to the New Testament, introducing Jesus as the fulfillment of God’s promises. It explores His birth, baptism, and ministry, as well as His role in confronting spiritual and physical rebellion. Through His teachings, miracles, and transfiguration, Jesus is revealed as the Messiah who restores humanity’s lost birthright and reclaims authority over all creation.
Quarter 4: The Restoration of All Things
The final quarter examines the culmination of God’s redemptive plan. It focuses on Christ as the one who restores what was lost in the Fall, bringing redemption to creation and restoring humanity’s relationship with God. It explores the ultimate defeat of rebellious powers, the final judgment, and the establishment of the new heaven and earth. The study concludes with the invitation to join God’s eternal kingdom and the full restoration of Eden.
Purpose of the Study
This plan provides a comprehensive journey through Scripture, revealing:
God’s original intent for humanity: To rule as His image-bearers.
The cosmic scope of rebellion: Including angelic and human defiance.
God’s unwavering faithfulness: To redeem His creation through Christ.
The restoration of humanity’s birthright: Culminating in the new heaven and earth.
By tracing these themes, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the cosmic narrative of Scripture, their place in God’s plan, and the hope of redemption through Jesus Christ.
This Bible Study begins Jan. 5th, 2025.
