Think about this—God Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, made man in His own image. He breathed life into us, gave us dominion, and designed us to walk with Him, to know Him, to manifest His heart. But what did man do? We turned inward. Selfishness entered the picture. We chose pride, rebellion, and independence over intimacy with our Creator. We distanced ourselves from the One who formed us out of love.
But here’s the staggering part—He didn’t abandon us! God humbled Himself beyond anything we can fathom. He didn’t just send a messenger or a prophet. No, God Himself stepped down, put on flesh, and came to us. Think about it—a baby. He came as a vulnerable child, born into this messy, broken world through the womb of a woman. That’s humility. That’s love on display. The One who holds all things together allowed Himself to be held by human hands.
Why? Because He’s chasing us! God has always been pursuing His creation, not out of frustration or obligation, but out of relentless love. He’s saying, “I didn’t create you to be apart from Me. I didn’t make you to live for yourself. I made you to know Me, to walk with Me, to look like Me.”
Jesus coming to earth wasn’t just an act of rescue—it was an invitation. An invitation to come home, to lay down our selfishness and pride, and to let Him restore what was lost.
Friend, God is still chasing you. He’s not waiting for you to figure it all out or clean yourself up. He’s already moved toward you. The cross and the empty tomb are proof. Let Him catch you. Let His love overwhelm you. That’s the Gospel—God didn’t give up on you, and He never will.
