Living Out the Great Commission: Reflecting Jesus to the World
Sharing the Gospel and Making Disciples Through a Life of Love and Obedience
The Great Commission isn’t a suggestion or an optional part of the Christian life—it’s the heartbeat of why we’re here. In many ways, it mirrors God’s command to Noah and his family after the flood, when He told them to go out, multiply, and fill the earth with life (Genesis 9:1, ASV). Just as Noah’s family was sent to bring renewal and restoration to a world made new, we are sent to bring the life and truth of the Gospel to the world. Before He ascended, He gave us this command:
"Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" (Matthew 28:19-20, ASV).
