Often we talk and talk about themes in the Scripture, stories, and how to apply them to our lives… but it is all for one purpose: To bring you back to the Father. Here is what it is all about.
God created you with a purpose, and He wants you to know Him. This isn't about joining a religion or following a list of rules. This is about stepping into what you were always meant for—relationship with the Father. Jesus didn't come to make bad people good; He came to bring dead people to life!
Understanding the Gospel: The Truth That Sets You Free
You were never made for sin. You were made to walk in the image of God, to love, to shine, to carry His presence. But sin distorted everything, separating us from Him (Romans 3:23). God wasn’t okay with that, so He sent His Son, Jesus, to destroy the lie and bring us back into truth.
God’s Love is Relentless: He never stopped pursuing us! Jesus lived without sin, died in our place, and rose again to break the power of sin and death over our lives (John 3:16).
The Cross Changed Everything: Jesus became sin so that we could become righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21). He didn’t just die for you—He died as you, so you could live as Him, in relationship with the Father.
You’re Not Who You Were: Through Jesus, you’re a brand-new creation, made righteous and holy, fully accepted by God (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Steps to Becoming a Christian
Realize Who You Were Created to Be – You were never meant to live in sin, fear, or shame. God made you to be filled with His love and Spirit.
Repent and Believe – Repentance isn’t just saying sorry; it’s a complete transformation! It means turning from the lie of sin and stepping into the truth of who you are in Christ (Acts 3:19).
Surrender to Jesus – It’s not about inviting Him into your life—it’s about giving Him your life. You were never made for yourself; you were made for Him! Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9).
Receive the Holy Spirit – Jesus didn’t just save you from something; He saved you for something. He fills you with His Spirit so you can live in power and love every day (Acts 1:8).
Live as a Son or Daughter – Christianity isn’t about rules—it’s about relationship. Walk with Jesus daily, know Him personally, and let His love shine through you (John 15:4-5).
Lessons and Themes
You Were Always Meant for Him: You were created to know and walk with God, free from sin and shame.
Jesus Restored Your Identity: Through Him, you are made righteous, holy, and blameless before God.
It’s a Life of Love: Christianity isn’t about religious duty; it’s about becoming love, just like Jesus.
The Holy Spirit Empowers You: You are filled with God’s very presence, able to live supernaturally every day.
You’re Called to Shine: The world needs the Jesus in you. You carry His light wherever you go.
Reflection and Application Questions
Do you see yourself the way God sees you—as loved, righteous, and accepted?
What lies about yourself or God do you need to turn from today?
How can you grow in daily intimacy with Jesus?
Who in your life needs to hear about this incredible truth?
The time is now!
If you’re ready to step into the truth of who you are in Christ, don’t wait another moment! Pray from your heart:
“Father, I give You my life. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again to set me free. I turn from sin, and I step into Your love. Fill me with Your Spirit, transform my heart, and teach me to walk in truth. Thank You for loving me! Amen.”
If you just prayed that prayer, COME ON! Welcome home! You’re not the same person anymore. Find a Bible-believing community, get baptized, and pursue Jesus with everything you have.
