O God of the untamed mountains,
the wind in the cedars sings Your name.
I have heard You in the thunder,
but it was the silence between the storms that undid me.

You are no tame lion.
You roam the wild places where I once feared to go
and still, still You call me out,
not to safety,
but to You.

You did not die to make me manageable.
You died to make me alive.
Truly, wildly, ruinously alive.

O Jesus,
when You stood at the edge of the Jordan,
the river knew You.
The sky tore open and the Spirit flew like a wild dove
and I swear the earth shuddered in awe.
And all of hell knew
the Son has come.

What kind of King comes without armies,
without thrones,
without demands
just fierce love in His eyes
and a voice that cuts chains like fire on rope?

You found me not in the cathedral,
but in the wreckage.
Not in the polished prayer,
but in the groaning I was too ashamed to speak.

You found me in the ruin of my own making
and whispered,
“This isn’t the end.
I make all things new.”

Oh God, my God,
I don’t want safety anymore.
Give me the edge of Your robe,
the scent of Your coming,
the echo of Your laughter down the ridgeline.

Let me bleed if I must.
Let me fall if it means I fall into You.

Break every domesticated chain they tried to drape on You.
Tear the veil, tear the script
and write my name in the wilderness
where Your voice is fire
and the ground itself waits for Your steps.

I will not shrink back.
Not now.
Not with Your blood still wet on the mercy seat.

You are the Wild One
the Good One
the Lion whose breath wakes the dead.

And You have called me son.

This Psalm is inspired by the article:

O God, where are You in the silence? The sky is heavy with sorrow, and my soul is crushed beneath the weight. You were near when the blind saw, when the dead rose, when the storm stilled. But now? Now the heavens are shut, and I sit in darkness.

I watched You hang, my Lord, my Friend—nailed and broken, shamed and bleeding. The One who spoke life now wrapped in death's cold grip. The earth shook, but my heart trembles even more.

You promised life abundant, rivers of living water, but all I taste now is the salt of tears. You said You would never leave us, but the tomb is sealed, and we are left alone.

O Lord, I am angry—angry at the night, at the loss, at the silence that screams louder than words. You said You are the Resurrection and the Life—but where is life now? Where is hope?

Still, in the hollow of this night, I remember. You said, "In three days, I will rise. "You said, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. "And though my faith is faint, my heart whispers, "Come, Lord Jesus."

If I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If the darkness covers me, even the night is light to You. So I will wait in the shadow, I will hold fast in the silence.

For You are the God who turns mourning into dancing, You are the God who brings life from the grave. Though I cannot see the dawn, I will trust You to bring it. Though all seems lost, I will believe You are still writing the story.

So come, O Breath of God—breathe on these dry bones. Raise what is dead to life. And when the stone rolls away, let me run to You with joy unspeakable.

Until then, I will wait. I will remember. I will hope. For You, O Lord, are faithful. You will not leave us in the grave.

Glimpses of God's Faithful Presence in Every Moment

A Psalm of Gratitude for the Lord's Hidden Works

O LORD, You are ever-present, though my eyes fail to perceive You.
Your hands move through the shadows of my life when I am unaware.

Before I rise in the morning, You have already ordered my steps;
While I slumber, You stand watch over my household.

Who can comprehend the depth of Your constant labor?
The foundations of the earth testify to Your diligence.

You prepare a table before me in the wilderness;
You make streams flow in barren places I have yet to traverse.

How many times have You turned aside disaster from my path?
How many blessings have I received, not knowing they came from Your hand?

Though I walk through the valley, distracted by shadows,
You have been my shepherd, guiding me to green pastures.

My eyes were fixed on my troubles, yet You were working deliverance;
My ears were filled with the world's noise, yet You were speaking peace.

When I thought myself abandoned, You were carrying me;
When I believed myself forgotten, You had engraved my name on Your palm.

Your mercy follows me all the days of my life,
Even on days I fail to acknowledge Your presence.

The heavens declare Your glory, the earth Your handiwork;
My very breath testifies to Your sustaining power.

You knit me together in my mother's womb,
And You continue to shape my days with loving purpose.

I will praise You, O LORD, for Your hidden works;
I will give thanks for Your unseen Providence.

Teach me to recognize Your movements in the ordinary;
Open my eyes to Your fingerprints upon my everyday life.

For You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps;
The Guardian of Israel who watches over His people.

My soul magnifies the LORD, my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
For the Mighty One has done great things—both seen and unseen.

From Anxiety to Trust: Turning worry into peace

O Lord, my heart trembles with fear,  
My mind is restless, burdened with care.  
Waves of worry crash and swell,  
Yet in Your hands, all is well.  

You call me out upon the deep,  
To trade my fear for perfect peace.  
Your voice, a whisper in the night,  
Calms my soul, restores my sight.  

The world may shake, the storms may rise,  
But You are God, forever wise.  
You hold the stars, You name the seas,  
Yet still, You bend Your ear to me.  

I cast my burdens at Your throne,  
For I am Yours, not on my own.  
Your love, my refuge, strong and sure,  
My anxious heart finds rest secure.  

So I will trust and not be swayed,  
Your faithfulness will never fade.  
My soul will sing, my heart will praise,  
For You, O Lord, sustain my days.

Redemption’s Light

I wandered lost, my heart weighed down,
A life of sin, a tattered crown.1
The world had promised joy and peace,
Yet left me bound, with no release.2

Then mercy spoke—His voice so clear,
A love that conquered every fear.3
The cross stood tall, His blood ran free,
A sacrifice to rescue me.4

No chains remain, the veil is torn,5
In Christ alone, I am reborn.6
Grace has won, the grave is past,7
Eternal hope is mine at last.8
